AdvantEDGE Markets & Events has been purpose-built through close collaboration with councils, market and event organisers, and industry professionals. By actively engaging our user base and working closely with our software development team, we’ve continuously refined the platform to meet real-world operational needs. The software is fantastic, it is simple to use and has made the day-to-day management of our market so much more efficient. The customer service and support that we have had, and continue to receive from Chris and his team is second to none, Chris has been more than accommodating with all the requests that we have made and has tailored the system to specifically suit our needs.
Our key aims are to ensure MKDP have flexibility and control, health and safety compliance and an enhanced customer experience whilst supporting the existing Market community to flourish.
To achieve this, it was important to ensure we had the right database system in place to manage stall holder records and compliance, issue licences and collect stall holder fees. Under the previous operator, this was a paper and cash only model, but using AdvantEDGE Markets we were successfully able to introduce a cashless and paper free model on day one. The stall holders were quick to adopt the new way of working, and we now have a 100% collection rate.
Having reviewed several software options to support the operational management of our markets, we selected AdvantEDGE Markets as the best fit for the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea.
Through collaboration, the EDGE team now demonstrate a clear understanding of the regulatory framework we operate within, including the London Local Authorities Act and Standard conditions specific to a London borough, and the system is proving to be an excellent foundation as an off-the-shelf product that can be adapted and developed to suit our specific requirements.
As a cloud-based platform, AdvantEDGE supports business continuity and resilience, maintaining access to key information during disruption and will strengthen service delivery going forward. The service has been good throughout. The team took a collaborative approach, allowing us to trial the system, test it in practice, and then refine it based on what we need on the ground. AdvantEDGE provides everything we need to provide our traders with a self-service portal for updating their own record, booking in and paying for their pitch/rent simply and efficiently. Market staff also have oversight of all payments, can manage our own debtors, reduce ‘no shows’, massively reduce cash collections and enable a slicker, more efficient process of keeping our trader records up to date and provide accurate data for reporting to senior management and members.
