InspectEDGE Upgrade
Upgrade by checking which version is displayed in the top right‑hand corner of InspectEDGE and then follow the appropriate instructions in the table below.

Register by emailing the serial number to support@edgeITsystems.com and request a product key. Serial number is displayed when the app is first opened. Product key has to be input to activate the app.
Do Not Deploy Multiple Versions on Same Tablet
Although the following versions of InspectEDGE can be installed on the same device at the same time, this is not supported:
- APK version 2.x
- APK version 3.0.0 to 3.0.28
- Google Play Store 3.0.30 upwards
Unless EDGE Support advise you to use the APK 3.0.28 version of InspectEDGE, always upload the inpections, uninstall the old version of InspectEDGE and then install the latest version of InspectEDGE via the Google Play Store version as explained below.
Upgrade – Google Play Store version
Version 3.0.30 or higher will have been installed via the Google Play Store and can be upgraded via this link to the Google Play Store.
Upgrade – APK version 2.x or 3.x to Google Play Store version
- Upload Inspections
- Open InspectEDGE app
- Tap each licenced module and then click Upload
- Close InspectEDGE app
- Tap square icon at the bottom of the screen
- Swipe up on InspectEDGE to close the app
- Uninstall InspectEDGE app
- Close InspectEDGE as per step above
- Tap and hold the InspectEDGE icon until a menu appears
- Tap Uninstall
- Confirm by tapping OK or Uninstall
- Install Google Play Store version
- Tap this Google Play Store link to install
Upgrade – APK version 2.x or 3.x to final APK version 3.0.28
You should only use the APK version if EDGE Support advises you to do that.
Version 3.0.28 is the final APK release.
If this is a new installation of InspectEDGE skip to step (4), otherwise follow steps (1) to (4) below:
- Upload Inspections
- Open InspectEDGE app
- Tap each licenced module and then click Upload
- Close InspectEDGE app
- Tap square icon at the bottom of the screen
- Swipe up on InspectEDGE to close the app
- Uninstall InspectEDGE app
- Tap and hold the InspectEDGE icon until a menu appears
- Tap Uninstall
- Confirm by tapping OK or Uninstall
- Install APK version
Tap here to download APK version 3.0.28 and then follow the prompts below:- tap Download or Download anyway (as prompted)
- tap Open
- tap INSTALL or UPDATE (as prompted)
- tap OPEN
