As part of this year’s Insurance renewal, I was made aware that a requirement of our Cyber Policy was to have Multifactor Authentication. This is to be used when logging in to our office computers, as well as our emails and the Edge IT software.
I already use MFA to log into the Council’s bank account, so this change did not come a complete surprise.
I contacted the Support Team at Edge who very quickly advised what I needed to do and within a short space of time I had downloaded the DuoMobile App and was ready to get going.
DuoMobile is very simple to use – just one extra click and once I have ticked the “approve” box, I can open up Facilities and Finance as normal!
